10 Potent Ringworm Remedies

1) Castor Oil. Castor oil is a vegetable oil derived from the castor plant. It contains ricinoleic acid that can suppress the growth of fungi, such as the dermatophyte group that causes ringworms. It is very effective in scalp ringworm (tinea capitis). Castor oil should be applied evenly to the affected scalp.

2) Apple Cider Vinegar. It is derived from apple extracts, which undergone fermentation process to convert sugar into alcohol. Alcohol undergoes a second fermentation process to convert it into vinegar. Apple cider vinegar has anti-fungal properties that can treat ringworms. You need to apply pure apple cider vinegar using a cotton ball to the affected area up to six times a day. But when your ringworm has open wounds like in the case of athlete's foot (tinea pedis), you can soak your feet in warm water with apple cider vinegar. You can apply the pure apple cider vinegar when the wound gets healed.

3) Coconut Oil. Coconut oil is very effective against fungal infections such as ringworms. It will help you not to experience itchiness brought by ringworms. Apply the coconut oil over the ringworm patch to alleviate ringworm symptoms and kill the fungi.

4) Carrot and Spinach Juice. They are a very good source of beta-carotene that is very good for the skin and they have anti-inflammatory properties. Carrot and spinach juice are very effective in ringworm treatment. 300 ml of carrot juice plus a 200 ml of spinach juice should be taken every day for 30 days.

5) Butea Seeds. Butea seeds contain proteolytic and lipolytic enzymes which have anti-inflammatory properties. Pounded butea seeds should be mixed with some lime juice to form a paste. The paste should be administered over the ringworm patch and allow it to dry. After drying, wash it off using water.

6) Turmeric. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties, and found to effective in treating ringworms. Crush the turmeric to extract the juice, and then the juice should be applied over the ringworm patch. You need also to take one teaspoon of turmeric extract and a teaspoon of honey.

7) Basil Leaves. Basil extracts have anti-fungal properties that will help eliminate the fungi causing the ringworms. Crush the basil leaves to extract the juice from it, and then apply it over the infected site twice a day for one month.

8) Cassia Leaves. Pounding the cassia leaves will allow you to extract the juice that helps to reduce inflammation and irritation brought by ringworms. You should apply the juice thoroughly to the affected site for 15 consecutive days.

9) Mustard Seeds. Mustard seeds should be crushed and mixed with water to form a mustard paste. Before application, wash the ringworm patches with warm water. Apply the paste evenly over the ringworms, and then allow it to dry. Rinse it off using cool water. Repeat the procedure for thirty days to achieve best results.

10) Papaya Slice and Papaya Seeds. Papaya slice should be rubbed gently over the ringworm. Papaya seeds can also be used by crushing it, and combine it water to form a papaya paste. Administer the papaya paste over the ringworm patch. Allow the paste to dry. Then, rinse it off using water.
